According to Kent Taylor in a personal communication (1997) to the Sackners, this was d.a levy's third book. The individual pages comprising the book are printed with different colored inks but all pages are the same dimensions. The cover is a light gray with the title printed on three lines. This is the first printing of the book. The Sackner Archive also holds the "second printing" of the book that has major differences in conten and layout. According to Jim Lowell, only 10 to 15 copies are extant. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

The title is printed on a single line of the white paper cover in this version.
